The Grace of Christ be with you!
Before he climbed a tree to see Jesus, Zacchaeus climbed over people to get rich. Yet God promised Abraham that his descendants, like Zacchaeus, would be a blessing to the world. So either:

God’s promise had failed.
-
Zacchaeus was an imposter.
-
Zacchaeus was innocent.
-
Jesus came to make good on promise.
While Richard White, when he professor of Homiletics at Lexington Theological Seminary, made the case that Zacchaeus was innocent of all charges, I believe that Jesus came to make good on God’s promise to Abraham. God will indeed bless the world through the descendants of Abraham including those adopted into his family by faith in Christ – the church.

MJ's PUPPET COMPANY! The puppets are here! All kindergarten through grade school kids are invited to join the puppets for Bible stories, games and songs Sunday mornings at 10am downstairs in our puppet room at MJPC.
